About

My name is Dr. Frederick W. Pirk

Dr. Frederick W. Pirk is a highly accomplished periodontist and decorated U.S. Army veteran, holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and recipient of the Meritorious Service Award. A graduate of the University of Missouri with a Doctor of Dental Surgery and a Master of Science in Periodontics, he played a pivotal role in founding the Dental Hygiene Program at El Paso Community College.

 

He served as an associate professor for 8 years and helped the program earn full ADA accreditation. Named Texas Dentist of the Year in 1991, Dr. Pirk is a Fellow of both the American and International Colleges of Dentistry. He has conducted extensive clinical research, published widely, and lectured internationally. He is also recognized for his contributions to implantology and periodontal disease research.
